Model

What a useful grade-check entry looks like

Do more than copy the percentage. Identify what is affecting the grade and what you can control next.

Example class entry

Algebra 2 • 68% • Two missing practice assignments • Quiz retake available Friday • Next action: complete both practices tonight and ask the teacher about retake help tomorrow.

When the grade is strong

Biology • 91% • No missing work • Next action: study vocabulary for Thursday's assessment and keep checking Canvas twice a week.

When information conflicts

StudentVUE and Canvas may update at different times. Record what each one shows and ask the teacher which information is current.

Action menu

Choose a next step you can actually complete

Pick the smallest useful action that addresses the cause of the concern.

Missing work

List the missing assignments, ask which ones can still be completed, and choose the first one you will finish.

Low assessment score

Review teacher feedback, ask about corrections or reassessment, and schedule a specific study or help session.

Attendance or organization

Check attendance for errors, organize Canvas tasks by deadline, or create two fixed times each week to review schoolwork.

Ask for help

Message the teacher with the class, the concern, what you have already tried, and one clear question.
