What to do
Follow these steps, then submit the assigned work in Canvas.
Step 1
Open the Google Doc template and make your own copy.
Step 2
Review your Academic Check-In and Credits & Graduation Progress Review. Choose the one priority that would make the biggest difference right now.
Step 3
Use the model examples to turn a broad goal into a specific four-week result.
Step 4
Choose two small actions, including when or how often each one will happen.
Step 5
Plan for one likely obstacle and name the person you will ask for support.
Step 6
Explain what you will check to measure progress, identify your first 24-hour action, rename the file, and upload it to Canvas.
Build a usable plan
Small actions beat vague promises.
A useful plan makes it obvious what to do next, even on a busy or difficult day.
Broad goal
“Get better grades” does not identify the class, the action, or how progress will be measured.
Specific goal
“Reduce my missing English assignments from six to two during the next four weeks” gives the plan a clear finish line.
Repeatable action
“Check Canvas on school nights and use SQUAD time for the highest-priority assignment” describes behavior the student can repeat.
Obstacle response
If practice makes Canvas easy to forget, set a reminder and connect the check to an existing routine.
