Turning information into action
This week, SQUAD focused on making informed next steps. Sophomores practiced interpreting credits and graduation progress, while seniors continued developing practical plans for life after high school.
This week in SQUAD
Know where you stand—and what comes next.
Students connected what they know about their academic progress and goals with an action they can take now. Clear examples and school resources helped make unfamiliar tasks more manageable.
Class status labels now show which activities have already been covered. Students should still use Canvas to confirm their own submission status.
What we worked on
Different stages. Shared purpose.
Understanding credits and graduation progress
Building on “Who Can Help Me?”, students walked through StudentVUE Course History and practiced reading a fictional graduation-progress example. The Credits & Graduation Progress Review asks students to verify earned credits, identify questions or gaps, and choose a follow-up action. It is due Friday, September 18.
Open SQUAD 10 materials →Senior readiness becomes action
Seniors continued their Senior-Year Action Plan, connecting postsecondary options with specific actions, deadlines, support contacts, and a plan for possible barriers. The focus is a realistic next step—not a one-size-fits-all college plan. The action plan is due Monday, September 21.

Family conversation starter
“What is one next step you can take toward your goal this week?”
Ask what information or support would help, who they could contact, and when they plan to take that step.
Celebration & highlight
Students are already taking ownership.
Reading a transcript, asking a question, and naming a concrete next step are meaningful skills. We are celebrating the process of becoming more independent and knowing when to seek support.
